The conference starts with a reception on Thursday early evening (27th July) and finishes Saturday early evening (29th July, ca 6pm). For pre- and post-conference tours see below.
Registration covers the conference fee, all coffee and lunch breaks, and the wine reception on Thursday night.
Early bird registration (ends 15th May) is €100 for graduate students, independent scholars and retired faculty, €150 regular rate. From 16th May, the rate for graduate students, independent scholars and retired faculty is €120, while the regular rate is €180.
The conference dinner (three-course meal plus wine) on Friday evening at the Greiffenegg Schlössle can be booked separately on the registration form (€60).
Additional tours of local attractions will be offered before and after the conference on Thursday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to participate in the pre- and/or post-conference tours:
Thursday, 27th July, 2 pm – 3 pm: Walking tour of Freiburg town and cathedral (no extra cost).
Sunday, 30th July, 2 pm – ca 7 pm: Excursion to the Schauinsland. A 20-minute ride on cable-car takes one to the top of the highest mountain close to Freiburg (1284 m). In good weather one enjoys a phantastic view of Freiburg, the Rhine valley, and the Kaiserstuhl and Vosges mountain ranges. On top of the mountain various activities are available, for those who like to do some walking, visit a museum, or those who would prefer to just enjoy the view and some black forest cake. (Individual charge for restaurant, museum entry and public transport as used.)
